Congess acts on extenders

Finally the US Congress has passed legislation to extend for another year many tax benefits that expired at the end of 2013. Some of the tax breaks included in the extender legislation package are the energy efficiency incentives, the deduction for sales and local sales tax in lieu of state income taxes, Higher Education Tuition and Fees Deduction, Teachers’ Classroom Expense Deduction, Tax-Free Distributions from IRA’s for charitable purposes, non-business energy credit and Bonus depreciation. Better late than never I guess!
